Field and Laboratory Biologist with 19 years of professional working experience as a manager, analyst, and consultant.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Owner and Biologist for Palmer Biological Services, a private environmental consulting firm from March 2006 to present. Company services include site assessment, mitigation, invasive and exotic vegetation removal, habitat restoration, wetland delineation, wildlife surveys, water and soil sampling and analysis, algae and invertebrate ID, laboratory quality control consultation, expert witness testimony, and water treatment equipment design and sales.

Laboratory Manager and Technical Director of a nationally accredited private commercial laboratory from 1991 to 2006. Developed successful multi-million dollar business enterprise. Duties included field and laboratory measurement, analysis of biological and chemical analytes, maintenance of lab accreditation including oversight of all lab activities, representation of laboratory during DOH audits, trace metals analysis using atomic absorption spectrophotometry, development of all QC documents and procedures, and implementation of field and laboratory quality control procedures. Duties also included design, sales and maintenance of drinking water treatment equipment. Developed company website and data reporting system. Consultation services included lake and pond analysis, lake restoration, invasive and exotic vegetation removal, wetland delineation and site assessment.

Educator in the Volusia County, Florida public school system from July 1987 to July 1991. Disciplines taught included marine biology, anatomy and physiology, and botany.
